Hello, I'm Ashal Ramzan.

A passionate Software Developer based in Greater Manchester.

About Me

I am a hardworking and conscientious individual, eager to learn and looking to develop and further my skills in a fast-paced environment. Worked with a variety of technologies, with a recent focus on AWS and .NET during my graduate programme.

Additionally, I pursued three years of Medicine post my software degree, with the hope that I could merge my software and medical knowledge and create medical software applications that help patients and doctors alike. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to step away from Medicine, ultimately fueling my determination even more to re-immerse myself into the world of software. I am now more motivated than ever to build upon my existing skills and perform for the right employer.

Capita Novus Graduate Programme
Underwent a 3 month graduate programme with Capita which was designed to help further develop my skillset allowing me to start my career in software with a strong foundation.

With a focus on AWS and .NET we undertook different problems and challenged ourselves to think creatively and apply our knowledge more effectively. I completed the training with an average mark of 96%.

The programme included:

• Soft skills, Python programming, Linux command line. • Networking and Network securities, Relational Databases. • Aws: CloudFront, Lambda, S3, EC2, DynamoDB, Route 53, Load Balancing, Scaling.

React Game Blog Site

Site dedicated to everything videogame and tech. Always being updated and improved.

Snake Game

The classic Snake game coded entirely in C#. Aim to add modes and features soon.

React Native Mobile Application

App that utilises an API to fetch quotes and display them at random to the user with author and reference. Following internal and closed testing will be published to the Google Play Store as a source of information and learning.

Interests

Gaming

I've always been into Gaming from a young age starting with the Sega Megadrive and right now Dead by Daylight and Overwatch.

So I began posting on TikTok to post edited gaming skits just to make people laugh and saw some success with multiple videos gaining more than 100,000 views.

Cricket

I've always been fascinated by Cricket which many find hard to believe. Football has taken over. I even play the cricket videogames.

Yes i'm that obsessed by it. I've even uploaded gameplay of Cricket to act as a guide for others debating whether to buy the game or not.

Animal Welfare

I had 2 cats for a very long time and absolutely fell in love. Respecting animals is very important to me and shows someones character.

I try my best to help my local shelters where possible and always go out of my way to tend to animals in need.
